Ashford Table Loom
The Ashford table loom is available with either
four or eight shafts. The four-shaft loom has the option of adding a
further four shafts at a later date. The looms fold flat for easy storage
and transport, are lacquered and include a 10 dpi stainless steel reed,
threading hooks and 2 shuttles. Extra reeds are available. They are in 3
widths 40cm, 60cm, 80cm. (16”, 24”, 32”)
Loom stands. The optional loom stand has 2 shelves, folds flat and has a four treadle kit for direct tie up.
Hobby Bench. The hobby bench has an adjustable seat height and the seat lifts for storage.
Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom
The rigid heddle loom has a strong frame and
is very easy to warp and use, available with or without the stand.
Includes a 7.5dpi reed. (Other sizes are available), threading hooks, 2
shuttles, warping peg and clamps. They are in three widths. 40cm, 60cm,
80cm. (16”, 24”, 32”). The stand has 2 shelves and a footrest.
Ashford Knitters Loom
The knitter’s loom is lacquered, lightweight,
portable and folds in half with the weaving in place for transporting or
storage. It includes a 7.5dpi reed (other sizes are available),
instruction book, 2 shuttles, threading hooks, warping peg and clamps. It
is available with or without a carry bag. There is an optional loom stand.
They are available in 2 weaving widths, 30cm and 50cm (12” and 20”).
Ashford Weaving Frames
Simple to use. Create wall hangings,
tapestries, table mats or coasters. Available in 2 sizes. Large 70cm x
50cm (27” x 19”) Small 35cm x 25cm (13” x 9”)
We stock a small range of books including the Ashford collection of
books on spinning, weaving for knitters, rigid heddle weaving, weaving for
the four shaft loom, projects for the eight shaft loom, dyeing and
carding,
Tuition. I teach weaving at our Pembrokeshire studio using our four shaft looms, either on a one to one basis or a maximum of two people. You will need to book at least a day’s course to learn the basics, which include, planning and winding a warp, putting this onto and threading the loom, weaving a sampler and learning to read a pattern draft. Charges for a day’s tuition are £50.00, which includes materials and a light lunch.
